Since May 2026 AlphaQuark has been sending advice to PaRRVA automatically for the SEBI-registered advisers who run their business on our platform: model portfolios, single-stock calls, intraday calls, single-leg F&O and multi-leg strategies. Most of what we learned is not in any manual. It came from rejected submissions, PaRRVA status reports and support tickets.
This first edition of the AlphaQuark Brief collects it, so you don't have to learn it the same way. If you need the basics first (what PaRRVA is, who runs it and what you may say about past performance), start with What is PaRRVA?
What PaRRVA actually receives
Every piece of advice you publish goes to PaRRVA as one of five input types, each with its own fields and rules. Research Analysts and Investment Advisers submit to separate input routes.
Portfolio
A model portfolio and each rebalance of it: ISINs with weights that add up to 100%.
Single stock
A delivery call with entry range, target, stop loss and time horizon in days.
Intraday
A same-day call. It looks like a single-stock call, but several field names differ.
Derivative
One option or future.
Strategy
A multi-leg F&O position, sent as one submission with all its legs.
Putting advice under the wrong type is a record error, not a formatting slip. A stock call must never show up under Portfolio.
Don't publish a model portfolio on a weekend
An adviser on our platform found that model-portfolio submissions made on a weekend were rejected. The portfolio names used in those submissions could not be used again, so the same portfolios had to be submitted under new names. PaRRVA's documentation doesn't mention this, and we have seen it once, but we now treat it as a rule.
Create and rebalance model portfolios on trading days only. Pick each portfolio's PaRRVA name once and keep it: it is the identifier your track record hangs on.
